It's all about a woman with no hopes and no protections that she is encouraged of other gentleman.then a man who want to help from other man that Arabella has been rape by an old man and also a Barangay Captain to willing to her.
3. What message are you trying to convey in your story?
My message in this story is we must to protect ourselves that somebody want to become a victim and we help them not only to rescue also to save us by the strangers.
4. Is there any character(s) in your story that represents you? If yes, please identify which and state the similarities between the two of you.
I think I want to relate of Miong because he really want to help Arabella and he made a sacrifice to protect Arabella.But in the end, he was died and Arabella gaves a strong feeling.

Maybe I was inspired of some Indie writers that I was inspired because they made an actual work and I was made this writing some stories that they are related to them.

It's critical and it's very hard to think about writing a script and it's very difficult not only in the script but also in the story concept.

1. What is the title of your original script?
-- "FRAT"
2. State briefly what your script is all about.
-- It's about a student who looses his dreams, family, friend, and even his own life.. in exchange for the power and brotherhood these fraternities can give.
3. What message are you trying to convey in your story?
-- For students like me to learn from my story, that we should always think twice in every decision we are making. That joining organizations such as fraternities is not safe because of this hazing that you have to go through. You don't need this brotherhood, these power, you have your friends and especially you have your family who will be there no matter what.
4. Is there any character(s) in your story that represents you? If yes, please identify which and state the similarities between the two of you.
-- I think I can relate to Jepoy, we are the same when it comes to attitude, being easy go lucky, an out going type of person who have lots of friends.
5. Who and what inspired you to write your script?
-- What insipred me to write this story? As far as I know, there are only two movies talking about fraternity, an 70's obra the ones starring Mark Gil, and the other is 90's where Jao Mapa is the leading actor. But it is always in the news, and recently with this UP student who died because of this hazing .
6. How was it like to write a script?
-- It's quite harder than I thought, because it was a long script, but when you started doing it, the ideas are just all there and the next thing i knew I was close to the end.
7. Will you pursue scriptwriting?
-- I don't think so, i am still more attracted to making good and nice photographs.

-- Maybe yes, but not as a scriptwriter, but as the Director of the film.

My script is about two best friends a boy(Luis) and a girl(Sally) since childhood, Luis tend to have a weak personality wherein Sally who has a strong personality keeps on protecting him whenever he is in trouble and in need of help. After graduating college Luis wants to re-pay Sally on everything she did for him. At the end there were a antagonist Rafael, who wants to forcedly marry Sally. Instead of Luis protecting Sally, Sally died because she guarded Luis from Rafael's gun-shot. Luis just returned Sally's kindness to her secreted daughter.
3. What message are you trying to convey in your story?
The message of the story is, life is too short so have a chance to re-pay someones kindness, show your love for them because it might be too late and you may regret.

Interview with an Aspiring Writer
His name is Ommar Alincastre, a college student in Malayan Colleges Laguna. He is taking up Digital Arts and Design (DAD) a two-year program offered by MCL.
He always watches movies. At all times he always wonder how great movies were produced. Story, directing, casting and etc… Until he took a course from Ms. Joanna Toledo, a professor in MCL. The course was Screenwriting and Copywriting. That was the time where a new script writer was born.

2. State briefly what your script is all about.
It is all about Romie Galang who is an NBI Chief who has many awards and respected. He loves his family so much. Until one night when he got home, he saw his family dead inside their house. He was so shocked. The crime scene was investigated by the inspectors. According to them, the main suspect was Romie. Upon knowing this he escaped from the police and run away. He was so confused. The investigator said that he was out of his mind when the incident happened. He can’t accept that he was the killer. So he decided to make his own investigation. Because of this, he saw something’s wrong with the incident. He noticed that he was not the killer. He figured out that Dr. Fabrica who was his wife’s ex-boyfriend who was the supect of the crime that killed his family. So he made some actions to capture Dr. Fabrica.
3. What message are you trying to convey in your story?
The message of my story is the unconditional love that you can give to your family while they are still alive. You should give them all. You cant exchange it from anything. You cant afford to lose them in that way. You can lose anything, but not your family.
4. Is there any character(s) in your story that represents you? If yes, please identify which and state the similarities between the two of you.
I think I have similarities to Romie. Besides of his unconditional love to his family, he is very well dedicated to his work. Another thing, he always thinks first before he do something.
5. Who and what inspired you to write your script?
Hmm… Ms .Toledo inspires me to write this script. Because this is one of the bunch of requirements that she gave me. Hehe… But seriously, she thought me how to write a script, (it should have a conflict) and how could it affect the audience that might watched the story.
6. How was it like to write a script?
Wow… it was great. All the sleepless nights. All the brainstorming between my classmates and Ms. Toledo. All of this to write a 20 minutes script was so fun.

Hmm… Let me think for a while…
Maybe if the price is right. Why not? Haha.

Seriously, I have. I want to work beyond the camera. I guess I can do directing.

Albert Martines as Romie Galang, he is a great Filipino actor. Bembol Roco as Dr. Fabrica, because of his roles in his past movies.

Suspense. This is my first time to write, so for me, my script is worth it.

It is improving, I guess. The independent film is in their glory today. They give reality to the people.

It’s about this boy who fell in love with a girl that he saw riding the carousel, but they never meet again, until the time when the two of them met again in the park. They went through a lot of obstacle but at the end they end up happily together.
3. What message are you trying to convey in your story?
Never give up you true love. Just believe in the power of destiny.
4. Is there any character(s) in your story that represents you? If yes, please identify which and state the similarities between the two of you.

5. Who and what inspired you to write your script?
Before I write this script, I watched several romantic movies, like a walk to remember, Lake House, and some Filipino love movies. They really help me to write down my story and script.

It was telling a story, you’re imagining things for you to have a script, it’s like you expressing you ideas and sharing you story.
7. Will you pursue scriptwriting?
I’m not sure, but if I’ll be given a change to improve my skills in writing, why not, but for now. I’m not on to writing, I’m lack of inspirations.

As the talent, kidding.. If I’ll be given this opportunity to enter this business I want to be the assistant director. Or I want to be the one who’s filming it, the one behind the camera, because for me they are the one who give life to this business.

For Hollywood industry I want it to be Daniel Radcliffe from the harry potter, because I want him to try different genre of movie like love stories. And for his leading lady I want Amanda bynes to play the role. And for the local industry it will be Richard guttierez because his a good actor and his famous I know he will call the attention of Filipina girls, and for the role of Aby I want her to be Maxene Magalona.

The title of my original script is Second look but then, i changed it to Blood Brothers because as i wrote my new script, i began to change the story to make it longer and to make the conflict better. My story is about a boy whose parents were brutally murdered and the one who killed them adopted the boy. The boy later finds out that the murderer was his own brother and that the ones killed was his fake parents. They end up helping each other to save their real parents. My story states that you can never judge anyone by just looking at im for a very short time. Maybe im almost like the older brother. He never said anything about is identity and instead he let Steve discover his true self. I never ask anyone to believe that i am what i am, i just do what is supposed to be done and i let my ways do the rest. I didnt really have any inspiration on writing my script, i just made it for school purposes but, it wasnt a waste of time infact, i had fun doing it. writing my script was really a pain in the as$, i stayed up all night just to finish it. it was really a good experience becase i felt the feeling of having a real job and heck, it was fun and tiring at the same time. i really don't know if i'll pursue this kind of work (i mean i think its boring) but i guess i will be able to use this on the future. Film business.? i wanted to, an assistantant director i think. Will smith, he's really good, and also johnny depp. who do i want to direct my script???myself! i think people would like it,, i guess. maybe, i wish. ^_^yes, they are losing original ideas!! i hate it when i watch a filipino movie with the same story of another film which i had watched already, especially american films. think out of the box, you can get ideas but ideas ae only ideas, be original.

My original script entitled Journey is about a curious and adventurous five year old boy named Carlo. He lived peacefully in a modern type of house near the beach. He was the only child and yet, his parents did’t pay more attention to him because they were always at work. Only his grandmother took good care of him. His grandmother gave him a mission - to find the missing pair of a very old stone.
His adventure started when he accidentally fell from the boat and reached the bottom of the sea. The mermaids took him and introduced him to their leader who asked Carlo to stay. But the leader threatened to devour him if he will not leave immediately. Carlo encountered next the school of sharks. One of them insisted Carlo to stay but Carlo panicked and got wounded. When sharks smelled the blood, they chased him until he reached the top of the sea. A family adopted him. In the end, Carlo went home with his loving wife and was able to find the pair of stone by recalling his childhood’s adventurous days.
Carlo, my main character and I has slight similarities. Carlo's parents are not that minding him much at his early age. My parents are also busy at work. My mother is leaving early in the morning and going home late from work that we didn't have time to talk. Since I came in the Philippines, I've never meet my father. But we have contact through phone. It is also my grandmother taking good care of my siblings.
The message of my story is if something is meant for you, whatever obstacles that passes your way, you will surely get it at the end like when Carlo got the stone when he went back to his hometown... And one more thing, you will only learn the lessons in life basically, if you realize your mistakes or if you've gone through hardships in reaching your goals. But it doesn't mean that you need to go through hardships. It is the experience that matters. Because experience is your best mentor.
Theirs no person in particular that inspired me do to my short script. I just thought of the story when I woke up. I'm not really inspired that day. Especially if you've already thought of your future task that you need to do before the end of the term. It looks like it's impossible for you to finish a story in almost half of the term. Because it is not easy to think out of the box and explore your imagination to the fullest to address your main point of view to your readers.Making a script is not a joke.
As of now, I'm not sure if I will persue scriptwriting. But I'm very much interested in
this course especially in the line of advertising but not that much in film business. Film business is not my major priority. I think if I will rank it, it will only be 25% of my plan.Though it looks interesting.
I will get to choose the actors/ actresses who will be casted for my script, it will be the kid version of Jhon Loid for Carlo. And for Lara, the fiance of Carlo, maybe it will be Bea Alonzo. And my director will be Carlo Caparas.
The experience of Carlo's Journey and the lessons that thought him makes my script worth producing or watching. Because it can teach the viewers especially children how to deal
challenges that always dares us in our everyday life.
In my opinion, the state of the Philippine movie industry at present is improving. Because our local movies are mostly acknowledgeable in foreign countries. We can already com pit in foreign countries comparing to our previews films.
I just want to tell those aspiring writer like me to pursue screenwriting especially those who have talents in writing and has great imagination. Who know, in the near future, you will be one of the great writers. Just don't limit your imagination. As what Ms. Toledo says ,imagination and negligence are the only limitations.
